My name is Rita B. I live work and thrive on the west side of Chicago. I have lived with in 5 mile of where I am for over 44 years. I work 1/2 mile from my home.  I am called the Czar of After School. I reasearch and score comp. tickets for my kids in school age and their families. I have been in after school here and other places for 8 years. I love after school.

I have one dramatically inclined daughter who attends community college, she is Vice-President of the theatre club. She recently competed in the Kennedy Honors competion for community college. Her make up and costume presentation landed her in the top ten.

I volunteer for Autism Speaks I am on the committee for the quiet room.

I volunteer for Micheal McDonough Microboard, I am the social chair.

I volunteer at my local park. We have formed a  park advisory council, which is the first one in 12 years.

My family is my church family they have my back and that always give me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. I have some cousins and an aunt who live in Germany. I speak German since that is what we spoke at home. So I totally get my after school age kids who struggle with English as a second language.

I created the blog for class. But I always have something to say, my friends are surprised I have not created one before now. I actually did for a technology class, but my computers in school age are crappy so I never let the after schoolers work on the blog.
